Fagans School of Irish Dance
Pictured on Saturday 5th July at the Carlisle Festival of Nation. Although rain eventually stopped further performance the dancer thrilled the crowds with their renditions of dances from River dance, Lord of the Dance, and Celtic Tiger.
Sunday 6th July saw the dancers going through their paces, at Washington Old Hall’s Family Day out (part of their Washington Independence Day Celebrations) again a warm reception for their performance was received form the spectators, which was not dampened by even more wet weather. The girls took part in a local competition on Saturday/Sunday 12th/13th July. And Megan Boddy, Caitlin Brown and Charlotte Hall will be representing the school at the British National Championships which will be held in Manchester from the 24th July until the 27th July – Good Luck to all the Girls in both events. On Friday 18th July the Fagan School of Irish dancing will be hosting Summer Ceilidh at the Stella Club, Albany, Washington, featuring local Ceilidh Band “The Whole Shebang” and a demonstration by the Fagan Dancers:- The Ceilidh will start at 7.30pm and tickets ate £5.00 each.

The school was originally set up in 1975, after a break of many years re-opened in1996. Classes are held at Harrraton Community Centre Washington. Tuesdays 5 – 8 pm Advanced dancers – Thurs 4 – 6pm Sat 9.30 – 11.30 for Beginners & 9.30 - 12.30 for Advanced Dancers. The school has a multitude of up and going youngster who determined and dedicated to Irish dancing.
